A Tragic Collision: Lessons from the Pune Porsche Accident

I’m writing a blog after a very long time, as I kept procrastinating, but today I decided to write about something important and yes, it is a hot topic in the country right now. In Pune, a 17-year-old boy was driving a Porsche while under the influence of alcohol. As I read in the news, he was speeding, and while speeding, his car hit a two-wheeler vehicle, resulting in the death of two young people who were techies.

The Shift

My Nani (maternal grandmother) used to tell me about her experiences and story of the village in which she used to live with her inlaws. She said that women of that time asked each other in the evening if their horses had arrived at their homes. I asked what that meant, and she explained that people used to travel by horse, so by asking about the horse, the ladies meant if the family member or the husband of the lady she asked the question had come or not as travels used to take days at that time.

Is it fair? No, What can I do?

Today A friend of mine and I went to a famous lake in my city to eat roasted corn (known as bhutta in Hindi). Usually, a large number of vendors are present there who sell it on their hand carts; however, today we only found a couple of sellers there. So we stopped at a shop and asked the seller to roast one for us. The shopkeeper behaved strangely, but I shrugged it off as I thought he might be shy.

Oh Soil, Save Soil

In my childhood, in the rainy season, when I returned after my playtime, my slipper used to be full of mud and soil enough to plant a sapling. However, due to climate change, we are now observing a change in weather patterns, like delays in the rainy season with variations in quantity. In covid times I was in my hometown, I used to think that rising oxygen demand was temporary. Still, it can become permanent if we do not start taking against climate change and deforestation.

My Twitter Anniversary

Today twitter sent me a notification “Do you remember when you joined Twitter? I do! #MyTwitterAnniversary” It’s been ten years since I created this account on Twitter; somehow, I was able to keep it alive without getting banned. In these ten years, many things have changed. Orkut does not exist today, and Facebook is not a cool thing anymore. I still remember the day when I asked a friend of mine to open an account on Facebook by going to a cyber cafe.

A Conundrum

According to the oxford dictionary, Conundrum means a “confusing and difficult problem or question”. I feel compassionate towards living beings. Therefore, I always try not to kill insects/animals, and if I find them stuck, I always help them so that they can live. For example, I always take out an ant that has fallen into a water bowl. A few days ago, I was on a call with a friend in my garden when I saw a caterpillar and a Green Mantis on a dense flower plant.

WE BECOME WHAT WE BEHOLD

One day when I checked my WhatsApp, there was a message on our infosec friends group that we should check this game once as it is browser-based and takes only 5-6 minutes to complete. So I checked; the game was “WE BECOME WHAT WE BEHOLD “. It is a game about news cycles and how the media shows us the news, which helps increase their profits. In the game, we play as news reporters who have to take pictures of people & conflict between two communities in a closed town-like environment, and the photos will be shown on TV.

Murphy’s Law

According to Wikipedia Murphy’s law can be defined as “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.” I registered for the TCS NQT exam to test my skills, TCS had given the students an advisory that they have to take one of their mock tests (IRC & the other one) for testing the compatibility of the host system. For the test’s I was supposed to download their application and then appear for the test.
