Recently I read news about the demise of Mr Rakesh Jhunjhunwala; he was considered as Warren Buffet of India because of his skills & fortune in the stock market. At the time of his death, he had an estimated net worth of $3.8 billion. Then I read another article, “How did Rakesh Jhunjhunwala make his billions?”. This article mentions that Mr Rakesh Jhunjumwala started with 5000 rupees in 1985.
The next thought which crossed my mind was that 5000 INR is 62.
A couple of days before a friend of mine attempted an English test. They struggled with it. So when I saw that test, I was comfortable with it. Because of all this, I remember how I started learning English. As i came from a town people didn’t use English for verbal communication, even in English medium schools. So the start of my journey to learning English was interesting.
When I was a kid aged 6-8, I found an old photocopied notes of English grammar, from which my mama used to study.
I graduated this year. A few friends of mine and I ran a student community in our college to create a good culture for everyone on campus. We tried our best the run the community however, due to covid, we were not able to do what we wanted to do initially. As we were visiting college last time for collecting the documents and we had few stickers and t-shirts from GDSC for distribution, my friend Akash and I decided to organise the last event before leaving.
Last year I was going through my LinkedIn feed, And I saw a post about an open-source training in which participants will be taught to grow their skills and become upstream open-source contributors. In the post, I read that DGPLUG will conduct the training, and they have been doing it for over a decade. So after I read the post, I searched about it and found out that DGPLUG stands for Durgapur Linux User group.
I completed my senior secondary education from CBSE board, While studying i used to find the English prose and drama highly interesting. The chapters always have some kind of message or lesson to convey however at that time we used study the chapters so that we can score well in the exams. However i find the lines of the pages underlined with thoughts i used to get while reading the chapters.
